Driving test theory
You need to book your driving theory test and this can be done straight away, I recommend you buy at minimum a copy of the highway code, or download the app, there are also a lot of practice apps available too, when we meet we can discuss some options.
Study, then study more, you may as well as you do not want to attempt it more than once.
It is fairly straight forward, you have 57 minutes (which is pretty generous) to answer 50 multiple-choice questions. you need to score minimum 43 out of 50.
There are 15 video clips lasting 1 minute each, there will be at least 1 hazard that you need to identify, you score points based on when you spot the hazard, you will need to score minimum 44 out of 75. further details can be found here
The practical driving test
Throughout our lessons there will come a time when we have a discussion that will go along the lines of “you are ready to book your test”.
This is an exciting feeling for both you and me, we will have discussed and agreed together where you will do your test and you are then ready to do it. There is a breakdown of what is involved during the test here.
We will have prepared for the day including the need to do some extra revision around the show me tell me questions which you will be asked to answer, 1 simple question from each category more details can be found here.
